- In 1984, Motley Crue vocalist Vince Neil was found guilty of vehicular manslaughter in the death of pert Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley. Neil dedicated Theatre of Pain to Dingley, and continues to educate the public on the dangers of drunk driving.

I had wondered if "pert" was indeed an accurate description for poor departed Razzle, but a quick check of Webster's verifies that it can in fact mean "flippantly cocky and assured," which I believe all agree can reasonably be assumed to apply to anyone in the field of hair metal.

Quite right, Ruth! It's also fair to say that Razzle et al. are "impudently bold; saucy" as per the American Heritage® dictionary.
